BIOGRAPHY

June  Bisantz, musician and visual artist,
has co-written and produced several collections of vocal jazz, all of which have received national and international recognition. Bisantz has performed and recorded with distinguished jazz musicians including Steve Swallow, Bob Moses, Paul Brown, Lew Soloff, Jerry Neiwood, Mike Stern, Valery Ponomarev and Will Lee.

Reviews and articles about Bisantz' work have appeared in national and international publications including People Magazine, USA Today, Downbeat Magazine, Jazziz Magazine, New York Newsday, Jazz Podium Magazine, the Boston Herald, Boston Globe, Connecticut Magazine and the New York Native.  


Her recent release, “It’s Always You”, inspired by the vocal work of the legendary Chet Baker, features both familiar and obscure Baker songs that span the course of his fascinating career.

Bisantz performs and records with jazz/classical pianist and arranger Alex Nakhimovsky; and guitarist/ composer Norman Johnson.

The group is currently in the studio with a new project of original jazz (Bisantz/Nakhimovsky), latin in style, romantic in feel, with classical overtones. The CD is planned for release in early 2018.
